est.

This is a passion project of mine that I always come back to when I'm struggling with designers block, which happens more frequently than you'd think.

I've always had an interest in celebrities and their photoshoots, I enjoy taking inspiration from them to create what 'est' is all about. I find that in creating one of these little posters, I'm able to find a source of inspiration and validation that I am good at design.

I mask the pictures I use, normally taking away the background to give me the chance to create interesting visuals with them. The way they initially started were definitely more reliant on the actual picture to do the talking, but the more of them I did the more I started to utilise illustrative elements and typography.

I decided to name it 'est' because of the recent pieces I created including the celebrities dates of birth aka est. These posters are then shared on my Instagram alongside some of my UI/UX work.

The ones I'm showcasing here show the growth and versatility in my design skills.
